Welcome To Sloppy Jalopy
From the people that bring you Partizan this is our company for
wargames products. Supplying vehicles and other stuff to complement your
games in scales that look right with your figures.
Our philosophy is that our vehicles should `look right` with the wargames figures you use on your miniature wargames table, hence the difference in scales. Great War and Inter-War (or Pulp Era) figures nominally developed for 28mm gaming actually tend to be on the large size, so fit better with 1/48th scale vehicles. Other manufacturers have released vehicles for this period but they tend to look too small. Likewise for the post colonial period (the second half of the twentieth century) the figures commercially available tend to be nearer to a true 28mm size, smaller than the earlier period, and so we decided to scale the vehicles for this period to a 1/56th scale.
New Releases
WW1 & Interwar
Our next release of figures for those VBCW and other interwar campaigns are ‘The Canal Folk’. These are a set of 12 figures – 9 male with separate heads and 3 female with integral heads. They can be used as armed canal boat or ship crew and also as Gypsies or other traveling folk. They come armed with a variety of weapons including shotguns, rifles, pistols, Molotov cocktails and boat hooks. All in all a formidable unit for your militias.Designed by Mr Martin Baker. Also released are a wide variety of separate heads for customising figures. These include all the previous heads sold with the Miners and Canal Folk as well as a number of new varieties – 20 different heads in total for sale in packs of 5 of the same type.

Moderns
After much delay we are now in the process of augmenting our modern range by releasing the first of the vehicles formerly produced by Chieftain Models. We are starting with the CVRts and now have available to buy, the FV101 Scorpion, FV102 Striker, FV105 Sultan and FV107 Scimitar.
Looking forward, the Israeli Mutt Jeep will also be available shortly.
We will then start on the MBTs and are also looking to expand the ranges even further over the next year.
Let us know what you would like us to produce next. Is there a particular car or truck from between the wars that would go just perfectly with your game? Let us know and we will see what we can do.
